GARDEN

“But the sea / which no one tends / is also a garden”

As the cold settles into the dregs of the year and the beginning of new, we reminisce about the smell of freshly tilled soil and bountiful harvests. Gardens are a sanctuary of tranquility and renewal, an attempt to tame the unpredictable complexion of the natural realm into a tangible semblance of divine order.

Earthly Paradise
Inspired by the second poem from the Divine Comedy, Purgatorio, this design tracks Dante and Virgil’s ascent from hell into purgatory and finally, heaven. After climbing through the depths of the Inferno, the two emerge at the shore of the Mountain of Purgatory and climb seven levels to reach the summit, which is a depiction of the Garden of Eden. The garden, also called the “Earthly Paradise” is the last step of purgatory, before the travelers leave the physical world and into the celestial beyond.

︎Primoria fun fact: this design was a collaboration between our printmaker and designer!

Water me
Bonsai trees and Japanese Zen gardens are designed to evoke a sense of aesthetic refinement over naturalistic beauty, intended to imitate the essence of nature over its actual appearance. Here we explore the meditative repetition of rake patterning in zen gardens, and the meticulously shaped and pruned form of the bonsai.

Islamic Gardens
Islamic gardens follow strict architectural guidlines and were originally designed to provide respite from the dry climate by channeling water through the garden. The canals divide the area into different sections, a style that is called, charbagh, or “four gardens”. This design depicts the evolution of these architectural plans from their inception in ancient mesopotemia to their latest form as mughal gardens in the 1600s.

ANSWERS TO YOUR DEEPEST QUESTIONS

︎Can you give me insight into the production process?

Yes! Each garment or “blank” is hand-sourced from local thrift stores in Austin or Chicago by a dedicated team and is 100% cotton, with little to no wear and in like-new condition. All of our crew neck sweatshirts are sourced from American recycled clothing. We sanitize and steam all pieces before shipping, so rest assured each piece is fresh. Primoria designs are limited edition and designed per collection along with other brand and marketing collateral (free stickers). Our screen printing expert (hi Monica!) screen prints designs on a per order basis. The outcome of our upcycling model is unique, zero waste clothing.

︎What will I recieve if I select the “random”colorway? I want to know what I’m getting before I place an order.

Live a little! By selecting “random” you will get a random garment+ink color combo (this includes white or black garments). But if you want some control over your purchase you can leave us a note in the checkout about garment colors you will absolutely not wear and we promise to make it work. If you’re curious about which color combos (ink+garments) are in the pipeline, check out the latest on our instagram.
︎Why do some size and color options say unavailable?

Because of our sourcing model, we are unable to offer every colorway and size for each garment, and certain variations may appear as unavailable on the site. We have listed all available options under each product block.

︎What if I don’t like my item

I mean... :/ send us an email requesting your return at hello@primoria.world. You can return it to the following address within 14 days of your delivery:

primoria.world

1011 San Jacinto Blvd, Suite 202

Austin, TX 78701

Expect to get your refund a week after we receive your item. At this time we can only refund the product cost and taxes, so you will be responsible for the shipping costs.
︎How long will these designs be available?

Launch 2.0: Garden will be available during the winter of 2023-24. After that, it will be gone foreva. Our next launch will cover a different theme.

︎Who are you guys anyway?

We’re three friends (Brendan, Bianca, and Monica) who met in college once upon a time. All of our models are our friends, frenemies and foes.
